Toddler car seats tend to be larger and heavier than newborn car seats as they need to accommodate a growing child for much longer. They are also designed to stay in the car rather than clicking in and out like Group 0 seats. Many have a five-point harness, an impact shield and will accommodate a rear-facing travel solution until your baby is at least 15 months old. It’s recommended to keep your child rear-facing for as long as possible as it offers more support for their neck, head, and spine should a crash occur.
